Press release from the issuing company

Pittsburgh, PA -- The Binding Industries Association (BIA), the preeminent organization for the graphic finishing and custom loose-leaf manufacturing industry, announced today its 2009 Product of Excellence Awards (POE) winners. From around the world, companies submitted their best work to be judged against that of their peers.
As the world's only competition specifically for graphic finishers and custom loose-leaf companies, the POE awards provides a platform for companies to demonstrate the value they provide to the graphic arts community.
The following companies have achieved the highest pinnacle in the industry, and, as such, are the "best of the best" for 2009:  American Thermoplastic Company, Bindagraphics, Inc., Bridge Publications, C&C Offset Printing, Holum and Sons Co. Inc, Napco, Inc., Pacific Bindery Services, Ltd., Roswell Bookbinding, Unibind, Univenture, Inc., and Vulcan Information Packaging.

"The competition does a great job in promoting the industry and its capabilities. It also gives us the opportunity to see how we stack up against our competitors, and how we can improve our own operations.  For Roswell Bookbinding, winning three awards validates our 50 years of commitment to excellence and dedication to innovation and ingenuity," said Mike Roswell, President, Roswell Bookbinding. "It also provides us more motivation to continue producing the highest quality work."

The  2009 competition was sponsored by Bensons International Systems Inc., bielomatik jagenberg, Inc., Capital Adhesives, Gane Brothers & Lane Inc., Heidelberg, Kolbus, MBO America, Muller Martini, The Newark Group, Nor-Cote International, Nordson, Standard Finishing Systems, Technifold USA, and TechStrand.
