Goss to cut up to 250 jobs

(January 11, 2009) NEW YORK Goss International announced today it plans to reduce its work force by 200 to 250 employees in three states.

Calling it "an essential step to bring manufacturing and support resources in the United States in line with market demands," recently named Goss CEO Jochen Meissner added, "We regret the impact this will have on our employees and are committed to carrying out the plan in the most equitable manner possible."

The supplier of printing and finishing systems and aftermarket services has manufacturing facilities in Asia, Europe, and the United States and posted more than $1.1 billion in 2007 sales. Its U.S. facilities are in Durham and Dover, N.H., Bolingbrook, Ill., and Kennedale Texas.
