Boston Print Buyers' Dinner And Discussion

Press release from the issuing company

CHESTNUT HILL, MA – January 7, 2009 – When you need printing that’s fluid and fast, Web-to-Print puts you in the driver’s seat. This online technology (also known as Web2Print, W2P, or remote publishing) enables users to quickly create, edit and approve materials so that customized print jobs can be produced at lightning speed.

Learn about the promises, applications and costs of this new technology at “Web-to-Print: What Is It – and How Are People Using It,” on Tuesday, February 10, 2009, from 6-8:30 pm at the Boston Print Buyers (BPB) Dinner Meeting at the Doubletree Guest Suites, 550 Winter Street, Waltham. Print buyers, designers and others who purchase or influence the purchase of print and related media are invited to attend.

Join guest experts Wayne Moda and Jonathan C. Ward from Nu Graphics, Woburn, our meeting sponsor, for an eye-opening exploration of the new frontier in printing. A leading provider of cross-media print solutions, Nu Graphics specializes in digital (data-driven), offset, grand format (flat bed) and CD/DVD printing, and enhanced print programs such as PURLS, managed email, electronic lead management, bar coded direct mail, and other custom print solutions.

BPB President Margie Dana calls Web-to-Print, “a powerful tool,” that is rewriting the rules of print production. “Web-to-Print allows users to go online and design repeat pieces like newsletters, invitations and other marketing collateral on the fly so they can customize and print their pieces on a daily, weekly or yearly basis,” she explains. “Web-to-Print users enjoy greater flexibility and control over the process by producing and printing as much or as little as they need as often as they need it. This meeting is a great opportunity for end users to learn the basics of web-to-print, which is often misunderstood."

Cost to attend the February 10th meeting is $45 for BPB members, $65 for non-members. A delicious buffet dinner, cash bar, educational presentation, and question-and-answer session are included. Parking is free.

The Doubletree Guest Suites is conveniently located at exit 27B off Route 128 at the corner of First Avenue and Winter Street in Waltham.
