Wednesday, January 14, 2009

Press release from the issuing company

(January 13, 2009) Printing Industries of America is currently seeking entries for the 2009 InterTechä Technology Awards. These awards recognize new and innovative technologies deemed likely to have a major impact on the graphic communications industry. Technologies from all areas of the graphic arts are eligible for the InterTech Awards, including all forms of printing, packaging, newspaper, wide format/display graphics, graphic design, mailing, bindery, finishing, fulfillment, and others.

Manufacturers and developers of equipment, software, and processes that have an innovative technology that could impact the future of the graphic arts and associated industries are encouraged to complete the online registration by March 31, 2009. Those entries submitted by this date will receive special pricing for registration. Full details can be found at www.intertechaward.org. Completed application packets must be postmarked no later than May 31, 2009.

In addition, printers and technology users are also encouraged to nominate new and innovative technologies that benefit the graphic arts industry by using the online form. Nominations from all areas of the graphic arts are considered and welcomed.

The InterTech Technology Awards have become solid indicators of the top innovations in the industry for thirty-one years. In that time, over 230 recipients from around the world have received this coveted award for their ground-breaking technologies, the majority of which have gone on to experience commercial success in the marketplace.

The submission process is simple for those companies that wish to be considered. An application packet containing detailed information about the technology as well as testimonials from users of the technology is submitted to Printing Industries of America's Center for Technology and Research, and an independent panel of anonymous judges reviews the submissions for consideration.

InterTech Award recipients will be notified no later than July 31, 2009. Recipients of the selected technologies will receive a custom-designed award-the highly revered InterTechä star as well as a number of promotional opportunities in print and online.

For more information on the InterTech Awards, or if you have additional questions, email intertechaward@printing.org or call 1-800-910-4283 x819.
