Finch Opaque Digital Receives HP Indigo Approval

Press release from the issuing company

Glens Falls, NY -- Finch Paper (NY) again delivers more value with today's announcement that new Finch Opaque Digital, a trusted uncoated paper for digital printing, has been re-engineered to perform on HP Indigo presses in addition to all dry toner digital printer/copiers.

Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), commissioned by HP to test and subsequently certify papers, has certified new Finch Opaque Digital for HP Indigo presses.  As a result, printers can use economical Finch Opaque Digital on any piece of equipment on the shop floor.

The new Finch Opaque Digital line, featuring a 2-star rating from RIT for HP Indigo presses, includes 60, 70  80 and 100 lb. text weights; plus 65, 80 and 100 lb. covers in 12 x 18 and 18 x 12 sheet sizes.  Finch Opaque Digital uncoated papers are 96-bright, allowing colors to pop with little show-through. Finch Opaque Digital is an economical digital paper typically used in high-volume applications such as manuals, financial reports, books, and direct mail.

The full line of Finch digital papers is described at http://finchpaper.com/our-paper/digital-overview/, where samples can also be ordered. New Finch Opaque Digital is now available from Finch's network of distributors.

"As creators of the 3-star rated Finch Fine iD for HP Indigo presses, we have now successfully developed HP Indigo-compatible papers for high-volume, low-cost projects," says Anthony McDowell, vice president of sales and marketing. "Our team has built a sheet of paper that will perform equally as well on HP Indigos as it has on dry-toner machines such as the Xerox iGen®, Kodak NexPress® and many others including those from Océ, Canon, Ricoh, and Konica-Minolta. This means that the same carton of 12 x 18 Finch Opaque Digital can be used for any piece of equipment on the shop floor.

"We're pleased to have scored a double here, with the prestigious RIT approval of Finch Opaque Digital for HP Indigo, and the ability to give our customers quality and value in a flexible substrate solution. Not only do customers save by choosing Finch Opaque Digital, they can also reduce inventory."

In addition to being economical, Finch Papers are an environmentally-preferred choice for a house sheet. Finch Opaque Digital is SFI certified, using certified wood from sustainable forests, and made with 66% renewable energy in the USA.
