Pewaukee, Wisconsin -- The Institute for Graphics and Imaging (IGI)—an education and training organization funded by and dedicated to the printing and graphic arts industry—has announced a two-day training course focused on inkjet proofing.  The session will be held on July 22 and 23, 2009, and will be conducted by Richard Lerner, the president of RSL Consultants, an organization which has trained printers and in-house production departments in color management.  The course will be directed at prepress operators, production personnel, customer service representatives, production managers, print buyers, graphic designers, desktop publishers, or anyone responsible for ensuring that quality color is produced in the print shop.  See www.igi.org for course details and registration forms.

Announcing the new course, IGI Executive Director Ron Dahl commented: “IGI is pleased to make process improvement and color control expert Richard Lerner available for a two-day, hands-on training session focusing on color control and best practices for inkjet proofing.  Lerner is an acknowledged expert and accomplished trainer, widely known as a color expert in a variety of media.”
