xpedx Canada offers all GTA printers new procurement support

Press release from the issuing company

BRAMPTON, Ontario -- xpedx Canada today announced the launch of important new online tools on its xpedx.ca website to give printers and publishers real-time information on paper availability and pricing.

The new tools also allow printers to more efficiently manage their business with easy online ordering, order status checks, special pricing, immediate invoice access and customized purchase order histories.

“Printers today want new cost-savings and operating efficiencies,” said Mike Kearney, group vice president, xpedx Canada.  “The new tools on xpedx.ca give printers real-time access to our inventory and pricing.  They also automate and simplify many other routine procurement tasks. The result is immediate and tangible benefits for their companies and employees—as well as increased accuracy and responsiveness on project estimating.”

New xpedx.ca capabilities include real-time product availability and order placement, updated contract pricing, a “My Items” list for frequently ordered products, easy keyword search in the online product catalogue, the ability to review orders, view open orders and access invoices and customized purchase order histories from the past two years.

Sherry Strong, purchasing agent for Etobicoke, Ontario-based Flash Reproductions, is an early user of the new xpedx.ca system. She said that the easy-to-navigate site and real-time stocking information has helped her shorten her order time.  Quick confirmations and invoicing keep management of multiple print jobs streamlined and hassle-free.

“The new xpedx Canada site builds on our already strong personal relationships with xpedx sales and customer service representatives,” Strong added.  “If we have a question or need assistance with anything on xpedx.ca, they are immediately available to help.  That’s important to me.”

xpedx Canada representatives can help printers get their online account set up quickly.  Customers have access to thousands of items in the online price book, complete with product and technical information.

The xpedx.ca site is built on the success and proven benefits of the U.S. xpedx.com website, which did C$1.9 billion (US$1.7 billion) in business in 2008 and served more than 25,000 customers worldwide.
