FUJIFILM Dimatix Names Product Manager for China

Press release from the issuing company

Santa Clara, Calif. – FUJIFILM Dimatix, the world's leading supplier of drop-on-demand inkjet printheads for industrial applications, today announced it has created the new position of Printhead Product Manager, China and appointed Russell Brown, a seasoned inkjet technology veteran, engineering professional and Six Sigma Green Belt, to fill the post.  Brown will report to Marc Torrey, FUJIFILM Dimatix Vice President, Marketing.

In the new role, Brown assumes responsibility for market adoption of products FUJIFILM Dimatix currently sells in China and for the successful launch and deployment of new FUJIFILM Dimatix printhead products. As FUJIFILM Dimatix’ primary China market liaison, he will bridge current and evolving customer requirements with product engineering and development goals. Brown also works with OEM and systems integrators to ensure successful implementation of FUJIFILM Dimatix products at print industry trade shows in China, which are increasing in number and international stature.

During his nearly 20-year engineering and management career with EI DuPont de Nemours & Co., Brown held a number of positions, most recently as Systems Integration Manager, Supply Chain Manager and Product Planner. In these roles, he led development and commercialization of wide-format inkjet printers sourced from China; developed hardware and software specifications for new products; and developed and directed initiatives for defining, quantifying and satisfying customer needs. Brown holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado.

“The appointment of Russ Brown underscores FUJIFILM Dimatix’ dedication to business opportunities and commitment to customer needs in China, a rapidly evolving market in which we are seeing continued strong demand for our high-performance and high-throughput printhead products,” Marc Torrey commented. “Russ’ relevant inkjet experience and passion for customer service coupled with his broad engineering skills fit well in his new role as the voice of our customers in China.”
