Swiss Printers selects DiMS! for MIS

Press release from the issuing company

Lichtenvoorde, the Netherlands -- The markets are still a mess, the future is still uncertain, but what is guaranteed is that the Swiss Printers group, consisting of Ringier Print Zofingen, NZZ Fretz, Zollikofer and IRL, will be in better control of all four of their printing plants going into the future. DiMS! organizing print and Swiss Printers are pleased to jointly announce the decision to implement the complete DiMS! MIS and Enterprise system, including Direct Machine Interface (DMI), on all of their machines in press and postpress departments.

Swiss Printers considered the future in the printing industry and realized they needed to make some changes to ensure that they would remain as a top competitor in the market. Currently, Swiss Printers operates four large printing plants all individually and with different terms. With the DiMS! Enterprise system they will be able to combine all of the information from all four plants into one database, thereby standardizing their processes. This increases their control, improves planning and scheduling, and introduces significant cost savings. The efficiency resulting from the real-time management information solution is vital for Swiss Printers future operations.

Swiss Printers was committed to finding a solution, and following a year long investigation into the market of possible vendors, they were convinced that the DiMS! system would meet their expectations. Rudolf Lisibach, CEO of Swiss Printers stated, “we were looking for a system with a centralized structure, because we realized we wanted and needed to work more efficiently and effectively. DiMS! integrated MIS and Enterprise systems will provide us with a comprehensive organizational workflow process in which we are able to completely monitor, control and modify production jobs. Standardizing all four of our plants provides us with the ability to consider future takeovers because the integration period would be shorter, and we will be in control much quicker.”

Swiss Printers is the largest printing group in Switzerland and is comprised of many partnerships. “DiMS! organizing print is pleased to offer our services to Swiss Printers group”, said Gerard Marneth, CEO of DiMS! organizing print. “We know that DiMS! is a perfect fit for them, considering their goals. Once the DiMS! Enterprise system has consolidated their multi-plant information, they will notice an immediate difference and so will their customers. They will bring their service levels and cost savings to a new high.”
