RESTON, VA, May 9, 2007 -- The Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation, which administers PrintED and other national and regional educational support initiatives, will have the benefit of practical “front lines” guidance as a result of adding two experienced educators to its Board of Directors. The newly elected Board members of GAERF are: Michael Stinnett, PrintED instructor at Royal Oak High School in Royal Oak, MI. Stinnett was recruited at Royal Oak to revive a graphic arts and visual imaging program that had stagnated, and built it into a program of 13 full sections with a substantial waiting list. Stinnett's students have earned more than 300 local, state and national awards and scholarships, including national SkillsUSA Championships winners. Philip Age, Ed.D., associate professor in the School of Technology at Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, IL. Age has been a graphic communications educator for more than 30 years at the high school, community college and university levels. He has been involved in a variety of curriculum development projects, serves in a wide range of industry organizations, and is a frequent contributor to leading industry publications. “These educators will bring a wealth of practical wisdom to GAERF,” comments GAERF Chairman Randolph W.
