PIA Offers Workshop on Optimizing Color on Digital Presses

Press release from the issuing company

Pittsburgh, PA -- Printing Industries of America, in partnership with its Digital Printing Council, is pleased to announce Total Immersion: Digital Color, Optimizing Color from Your Digital Press; a new workshop designed to supply attendees with a comprehensive look at what it takes to produce reliable, high-quality digital output. The workshop is being written and presented by renowned experts David Zwang and Julie Shaffer.

Two intense days of hands-on training held July 20 - 21, 2009 at Printing Industries of America's Training Facility will get attendees totally immersed and totally knowledgeable on the subject of digital color and press optimization.

"Digital printing is color's next major frontier," explains Shaffer, Vice President of Digital Technology at Printing Industries. "It's only within the very recent past that the technology was accepted for the highest end commercial production - but color issues we have arguably all but solved in the conventional ink world don't apply in a toner environment."

"Digital color is fueling the growth of digital printing worldwide, which is forecasted to grow into a $101.9 billion industry by 2012 [1]. Achieving optimal color output will be critical to the success of digital printing," says David Zwang, Zwang & Company. "Total Immersion: Digital Color will in two-days give attendees the knowledge needed to begin applying optimal production processes and color management techniques successfully in today's digital color production environments."

"We're bringing you the first-hand knowledge from Printing Industries of America's experts and one of the biggest names in the print and color management world to address one of the most critical issues in digital printing today," says Shaffer. "If you're responsible for digital color production for your organization, Total Immersion: Digital Color is a can't miss programs."
