Dr. Joe Webb to Provide New Insights in Economic Outlook Webinar

Press release from the issuing company

Lexington, Kentucky USA -- WhatTheyThink.com today announced the opportunity for industry professionals to attend a free printing industry economic webinar with forecaster and commentator Dr. Joe Webb. The event will be held Wednesday, June 10th, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm EDT (-4 GMT).

No-charge registration is available here.

This one-hour event will include the latest data and analysis relative to the state of the economy and suggest what we might expect to see through the balance of the year, both in the economy at large and within the printing industry. Advance questions for the webinar Q&A session can be submitted by visiting WhatTheyThink’s Economics & Research Center and selecting “Ask Dr. Joe.”

“We are starting to see some signs of economic recovery,” said Randy Davidson, President, WhatTheyThink. “Dr. Webb will drill down into what this means for the industry, and provide insight and analysis that will help executives in the printing industry build a better plan for the future.”

“The economy does appear to be ‘less worse,’” said Dr. Webb, “but as an industry we still have a lot of work to do to reinvent ourselves once again.  While I don’t expect things to revert to the boom times, there are certainly opportunities for growth for businesses that have made the right strategic decisions and investments.”

Topics to be addressed will include:

  • 18 months of recession... is the end here?
  • E-books: real or not? Is there opportunity for printers?
  • The latest WhatTheyThink business conditions survey
  • What the end of 2009 holds for the economy... and print
  • Dr. Joe’s summer reading extravaganza

“This session will be available in the archive, along with all of our other educational sessions, so that business owners and managers can revisit the content at any time,” added Davidson.  “In addition, the WhatTheyThink Speakers Bureau offers knowledgeable speakers, including Dr. Webb, that can bring value to meetings and events as businesses continue to look for innovative ways to rethink their markets and strategies.”
