Press release from the issuing company

DAYTON, Ohio-- Standard Register, a premier provider of document management and workflow solutions, signed a multi-year agreement with Novation, the Texas-based contracting services company for VHA Inc., University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) and Provista, LLC.

The agreement, which is effective December 1, extends through 2012 and includes two one-year extensions. It will give VHA, UHC and Provista members access to Standard Register's broad range of document management products, services and technology to support them in driving down costs and more effectively managing business and clinical workflows.

Standard Register offers document supply chain consulting and professional services to address the total acquisition costs of documents throughout the enterprise while driving standardization and process improvement. Standard Register's powerful SMARTworks technology platform gives hospitals the means to procure, distribute, manage and track document spending and usage.

VHA, UHC and Provista members will also have access to solutions for improving patient identification and prescription security, enhancing revenue cycle management, and increasing the effectiveness of marketing communications and training materials.

"We are pleased to be selected as a preferred Novation supplier," said Brad Cates, vice president and general manager of Standard Register's Healthcare Business Unit. "We share Novation's commitment to delivering innovative programs and tools to help hospitals drive out cost, enhance efficiency and create a sustainable future."
