CPS Printing and Pacific Plus Form Exclusive Business Alliance

Press release from the issuing company

CARLSBAD, Calif. -- CPS Printing and Pacific Plus, two Carlsbad-based companies, have formed a business alliance offering customers an unprecedented array of photographic and print related products and services. This alliance allows the two companies to offer important guarantees and maintain the highest standards of quality control for their clients’ marketing and collateral projects, from design and photography through to the finished printed piece.

The announcement was made by Philip Lurie and Martin Solarsh of CPS Printing, and Barry Smith and Joe Switzer of Pacific Plus. Both companies believe that the move responds to today’s business climate, where customers expect the most for their dollar. “This alliance allows the customer to experience peace of mind,” stated Philip Lurie, President of CPS Printing. “Pacific Plus has a reputation for excellent work and superior service, which matches well with the core values held at CPS Printing.”

Pacific Plus, known in San Diego as a leader in photography, retouching and premedia services, brings to the alliance a 14,000 sq foot facility, including a 4,200 sq foot state-of-the-art photo studio. CPS, an ISO 9001 certified commercial printer, will make sure the color from Pacific Plus translates on-press to the customers’ specifications. This is accomplished by precise calibration of equipment between both companies to achieve the results needed for each project.

“Many of our clients are concerned about the look, feel and consistency of their brand. That’s where we come in,” said Barry Smith, Vice President of Pacific Plus. “Now, our exclusive alliance with an exceptional printer like CPS, gives us complete control of the color, all the way through the process. This is critical to us, and to our clients.”

CPS Printing: a print green company was purchased as Carlsbad Printing in 1989. It is a full-scale commercial printer, including sheet fed, web, and Indigo presses. Their 47,000 sq foot production facility includes complete pre-press, bindery, mailing services, and fulfillment departments. Cordius Group, a division of CPS, specializes in marketing logistics, campaign solutions, and online ordering systems.
