Lexington, Kentucky USA -- WhatTheyThink.com today announced the opportunity for industry professionals to attend a free printing industry educational webinar. Making the Transition to Marketing Services Provider, which will be led by WhatTheyThink Senior Editor Cary Sherburne.  Sponsored by MindFireInc, the event will be held Wednesday, June 3rd, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm EDT (-4 GMT).

No-charge registration is available here.

“As our industry continues to undergo massive structural change,” said Sherburne, “printing businesses must revisit their business strategies to ensure they are meeting today’s realities.  We are pleased that three successful entrepreneurs have agreed to join us for this event to talk about how they are transforming their businesses and the benefits they are seeing as a result.”

Sherburne will be joined by

  • Christopher Petro, President & CEO, Global Soft Digital.  Chris Petro has more than 20 years of printing industry experience. He leads efforts related to Global Soft Digital Solutions Inc.’s new product offerings, strategic initiatives and financial direction. He also serves as Gerant of GlobalSoft Intl., a European based Digital Marketing Company. Petro is also Chairman of the Digital Solutions Cooperative (Dscoop).
  • Christopher Wells, CEO, LVI Print Optimization.  Recognized by his peers as a visionary and industry leader, Chris is the CEO of LVI Print Optimization.  LVI’s oal is to help clients balance relevant print communications with a streamlined supply chain.  Wells is a founding member of Dscoop and was named one of the Top 20 Visionaries under 40 by Printing Impressions Magazine.
  • Mark Parent, CEO, Sugarbush Media Solutions. Mark founded Sugarbush Printing nearly a quarter of a century ago, and began the transition from a commercial printer to a media solutions provider about 7 years ago. Parent’s innovative approach to this transition is paying off. Restructuring his client base resulted in lower revenues, but a vibrant business model is delivering more profits.

“There is a lot of talk about the need for print service providers to become marketing services providers,” said Randy Davidson, President, WhatTheyThink.  “But there is less talk about how to actually accomplish that transition.  This session will focus on the how-to’s, and panelists will share their insight and advice to help ease the way.  We appreciate the fact that MindFireInc is sponsoring this important session, allowing us to make it available at no charge.”

Attendees will be able to participate in a live question and answer session to get the most from the experience and will be able to view and listen to the presentation using a standard Internet browser with audio streamed via computer.
