Global Graphics Signs Multi-Year Harlequin Deal With Miyakoshi

Press release from the issuing company

Acton MA -- Global Graphics has signed a multi-year agreement with Tokyo-based Miyakoshi Printing Machinery Company to provide multiple Harlequin RIPs to drive a range of high-speed full color inkjet presses and new high-performance, high-quality electro-photographic liquid toner-based presses. The devices will be used for printing large volumes of invoices and statements, such as those issued by credit card and insurance companies.

Miyakoshi has chosen to use the Harlequin PLUS Host Renderer so that their devices can process multiple file formats natively, including PDF, PostScript and XPS, for greater processing speed and fidelity. The multiple Harlequin RIP solution is scalable with the advantage that Miyakoshi can vary the number of RIPs used depending on the application and performance requirements. Miyakoshi is also licensing Global Graphics' color management software, Harlequin ColorPro, which gives accurate, consistent and predictable color reproduction.

The new products will be demonstrated at JGAS Tokyo in October 2009.
