Neolt and INX Digital unveil the X-Jet UV printer

Press release from the issuing company

Neolt, a specialist large format UV printer manufacturer, unveils a prototype of its innovative X-Jet printer for the first time worldwide at Fespa Digital (Stand H40, Hall 1).

The four-colour X-Jet is an affordable, hybrid UV printer that uses advanced Xaar 1001 greyscale printheads to produce high-resolution 1440 dpi images on a wide variety of flexible media at speeds from 40 up to 120sqm/hr.

The variable drop capability of the industrial-strength Xaar 1001 printhead enables 8 levels of variable drop size from 6-42 picolitres giving users the ability to choose the best resolution for each job from 360 dpi up to a maximum of 1440 dpi.

The Neolt X-Jet uses INX Digital Triangle UV curable inks that have been formulated specifically for use with Xaar 1001 printheads to provide high quality performance on a range of materials including vehicle wrap adhesives. The combination of Neolt engineering, Xaar printheads, INX Digital engineering and Triangle inks enables the X-Jet to produce smooth tone graphics, fine detail, and sharp text to generate outstanding results quickly, cost-effectively and reliably.

Neolt and INX Digital engineering, in close cooperation, have also developed a version of this new printer for INX Digital and this will also be demonstrated at Fespa Digital as the Milano DXN1.

"We are very proud of the X-Jet which combines the best imaging technology with premium inks to produce a printer which delivers high-end quality at an entry level price," says Giovanni Meani, Director of R&D, Neolt, Italy.

"Neolt and INX Digital engineering have developed a highly flexible printer that maximises the capabilities of the Xaar 1001 printhead to give users a choice of imaging options to suit a wide variety of applications," says Phil Eaves, Sales & Marketing Director, Xaar. "Its capabilities are driving innovation and Neolt and INX Digital have realised the benefits in the new X-Jet."
