Sun Chemical Showcases New Streamline Inks

Press release from the issuing company

MIDSOMER NORTON, UK -- At this year’s FESPA Digital Europe event, Sun Chemical, the world’s leading manufacturer of printing inks and pigments, will launch two new inks – ESL (EcoSol Light) and Ultima, for the wide and super wide format digital printing market. Both products are aftermarket inks that form part of the Streamline product line that Sun Chemical will showcase at its booth (Hall 1, Stand A70) at the show in Amsterdam from May 12–14, 2009.

The Streamline product line consists of high quality solvent, oil and water based inks for a variety of wide format and super wide format printers. The inks are formulated to have similar color and physical properties to the original manufactured inks so that existing color profiles and printer settings can be used.

The ESL inks have been developed for wide format printers, specifically for Roland printers. All the inks have technical and performance properties that match the original manufacturer’s inks, such as excellent jetting properties, low energy consumption when drying, excellent adhesion and chemical resistance, while odors are kept to a minimum.

The Ultima inks have been formulated for Mimaki JV33 wide format printers and are also compatible with Mimaki SS21 inks. Like the ESL inks, the properties of the Ultima inks match those of the original manufacturer’s inks. They are non flammable, non hazardous, have an excellent adhesion to a wide range of media, and can provide customers with significant cost savings.

“At Sun Chemical, we have an unrivaled line of products to meet the needs of the wide format printing industry,” said Tony Cox, Business Manager, Sun Chemical. “We are continually pushing the limits of efficiency and striving to adopt the best operational practices to create value and remain competitive.  Throughout this difficult economic period, we are starting to see an increased demand from our customers for alternative cost-effective inks such as ESL and Ultima that provide the same qualities and properties as the original manufacturer’s inks.

“While FESPA 2009 is the ideal opportunity to showcase our existing Streamline inks product line, it’s also the perfect location to launch these two new inks and engage in dialogue with visitors and customers highlighting how we are helping them through quality, service and innovation.”
