Presstek and PGAMA to Host Educational Seminars

Friday, May 08, 2009

Press release from the issuing company

Hudson, NH -- Presstek, Inc., a leading manufacturer and marketer of digital offset printing solutions, today announced it will be hosting an educational event in Columbia, MD on May 19, 2009, in conjunction with the Printing & Graphics Association, Mid-Atlantic (PGAMA). This session will feature WhatTheyThink's Dr. Joe Webb, who will present and host a panel on the topic of "Strategies for Profiting in the Post-Recession Printing Marketplace."

Dr. Joe is the director of WhatTheyThink's Economics and Research Center. His "Mondays with Dr. Joe" column has become a must-read feature on WhatTheyThink, as have his quarterly economic forecast webinars.

"Common wisdom indicates that those who take advantage of a recessionary period to strengthen their businesses are most likely to reap the rewards of a recovery," said Mark Levin, Presstek's President of the Americas Region. "With signs of a recovery just beginning to emerge, it is the perfect time for printing businesses to step up planning activities to ensure that they can successfully compete in today's market. This session provides the ideal launching pad for strategic planning, as well as an opportunity to network with peers."

May 19th Event: Planning for the Recovery

Dr. Webb will cover the strategies and action items a print service provider should be considering today in order to be more profitable in the "new" post recession marketplace. Dr. Webb will also moderate a panel of local print service providers who will share their expertise on the same topic.  Separate morning and afternoon sessions are offered. Each session will also include presentations on timely topics that are essential to the future of successful printing businesses, such as:

- Differentiate Your Business By Offering More
- Integrating Customers Via Web-to-Print
- How to Affordably Produce Variable Data

PGAMA members will be admitted to the session at no charge, compliments of Presstek.  Non-member pricing is $125.  A limited number of complimentary tickets are available by registering at www.presstek.com/events.
