GMC and WhatTheyThink to Host Educational Webinar on Beating the Postal Drain

Press release from the issuing company

Lexington, Kentucky USA -- WhatTheyThink.com today announced the opportunity for industry professionals to attend a free printing industry educational webinar. Beating the Postal Drain: Optimizing Postal Costs for Ad Hoc Mail, which will be led by WhatTheyThink Senior Editor Cary Sherburne.  Sponsored by GMC Software Technology, the event will be held Wednesday, May 13th, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm EDT (-4 GMT).

No-charge registration is available at the webinar registration page.

“With postal increases becoming a growing concern, companies are looking for ways to handle mail more cost-effectively,” said Sherburne.  “This session will discuss postal optimization techniques ranging from internal and external mail consolidation to more efficient ways of handling of ad hoc mail generated by individual workers throughout the enterprise.”

Sherburne will be joined by

  • Chris Kropac Jr., President, PCI..  Kropac has been with PCI for over 20 years and President  since 2003.  Since then, Kropac has built the company into one of the leading suppliers of mailing and technology solutions for the Collections Industry, and is credited for leading the company from a data entry facility into a global leader in data-driven mailing solutions for debt collection.
  • Loren Schoenzeit, Document Publishing Solutions, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota.  Schoenzeit has led initiatives within Blue Cross Blue Shield that have delivered savings in excess of $20,000 per month by standardizing the method of enveloping and streamlining the correspondence process between staff nurses and members.  Schoenzeit will share insight as to how large organizations can follow suit.

“Many companies have worked hard to optimize their mailing costs, but efforts have primarily been focused on large mailings such as statements, bills, catalogs and direct mail, as well as individual campaigns of other types,” said Randy Davidson, President, WhatTheyThink.  A significant amount of ad hoc mail--that is, mail generated in small quantities by distributed office workers--enters the mail stream at full postal rates. During this session, you will learn how savvy companies are capturing ad hoc mail for centralized printing and mailing as well as other postal optimization techniques that can reduce overall postal costs.  We appreciate the fact that GMC Software Technology is sponsoring this important session, allowing us to make it available at no charge.”

Attendees will be able to participate in a live question and answer session to get the most from the experience and will be able to view and listen to the presentation using a standard Internet browser with audio streamed via computer.
