Heeter Direct upgrades to EFI Pace Solution

Press release from the issuing company

Pittsburgh, Penn. – EFI, a world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, today announced that Heeter Direct, a full-service graphic communication solutions provider in Canonsburg, Penn., has purchased the EFI Pace management solution to help continue to streamline their operations. Heeter Direct was an EFI PSI user for almost a decade before deciding to upgrade to Pace after attending the Connect users' conference last month.

Scott Heeter, president of the family business, said: "After reviewing a number of other MIS systems on the market, we purchased EFI Pace because it's a modern, fully integrated, JDF-certified system from a strong, well-respected provider. After using PSI for years, this was a logical next step as we continue to expand our offerings as a complete graphic communications solutions provider. We look forward to this next chapter of our EFI partnership."

Specifically, Heeter selected Pace for the ease of the JDF workflow, which will be a huge time-saver from quoting to job ticketing to invoicing, as well as connectivity to EFI Auto-Count Direct Machine Interface shop floor data collection.

"Heeter Direct understands the important role an MIS system plays in running a successful operation, and they've once again selected technology from EFI to help streamline their workflow, increase productivity and grow their business," said Marc Olin, senior vice president/general manager, EFI Advanced Professional Print Software (APPS). "EFI Pace helps businesses like Heeter thrive by maximizing profit potential with every job."

EFI Pace includes software modules for estimating, scheduling, production, accounting, sales management, and e-commerce, and uses an appliance model that allows for installation and training in a fraction of the time required by other solutions. This advanced, secure system architecture is customizable, XML driven, JDF and ODBC compliant and allows browser-based access from Mac and PC platforms to better leverage emerging technologies that are defining the digital workflow process.
