Sussex, WI – QuadTech, Inc. today announced that the Idaho Press-Tribune, Nampa, Idaho, has invested in QuadTech's industry leading Ribbon Control System. The closed-loop print-to-cut or print-to-fold system helps to save on makeready time, decreases waste and provides consistent quality. The Idaho Press-Tribune's technology investment also includes QuadTech's ICON integrated platform, Register Guidance System and Register Motorization System 2000. The controls were installed on brand new DGM 440 presses with 4-high towers.
 
Traditionally, newspapers need to have a press operator manually inspect the process during a print run. However, the Idaho Press-Tribune realized the benefits, from both a cost and a time perspective, if they integrated the QuadTech technology to automate their operations.

"The system quickly registers color and holds precise to the targets throughout the press run.
