Montreal, Canada - At Print 09-Chicago, Ultimate Technographics Inc will be staging its new Impostrip OnDemand Scalable Server Edition.  Impostrip OnDemand Scalable Server Edition is introducing a completely new approach to high-volume digital imposition in order to address the processing speed required for transpromo and high volume digital book printing applications that is now produced on increasingly faster and wider digital presses.

Imposing for efficiency and press optimization
In developing its new scalable server architecture, Ultimate is also addressing new imposition automation schemes for wide web imposition and finishing.  The new Impostrip OnDemand Scalable Server Edition can imposed a single job being produced using a mixture of different bindery styles and often blended together across the digital web press. Efficiency, processing speed and optimization is critical in this environment and it will only increase as digital presses are becoming faster. Ultimate is positioning its Impostrip OnDemand Scalable Server Edition to take advantage of powerful multi-computer prepress workflows and to address specific and new printing and finishing applications.

The first implementation of this scalable client-server imposition architecture is designed to take advantage of the processing power available to customers with the HP SmartStream Ultra Print Server that plays the role of a digital front-end to the new HP Inkjet Web Press.  HP customers will benefit from Impostrip OnDemand Scalable Server Edition to meet delivery requirements at peak time. Impostrip OnDemand Scalable Server Edition will be showed for the first time at Print09 in Chicago and is scheduled to be released during 4th Quarter of 2009.
