CGS' ORIS Press Matcher Pro receives FOGRA certification

Press release from the issuing company

Hainburg (Germany) / Minneapolis MN – CGS Publishing Technologies International, global leader of color management solutions, digital proofing systems and specially formulated media, announced today that ORIS Press Matcher Pro has received the FograCert Validation Printing System Certification on the HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press and the HP Indigo press 5500 together with ORIS PearlDIGITAL specialty media. The certification reiterates CGS' commitment to the digital printing industry, where it partners with leading press manufacturers to help advance color quality and consistency to the highest level. Earlier this year, the same configuration was used to achieve the first-ever GRACoL certification for digital presses, enabling HP Indigo users to economically produce certified proofs on their HP Indigo digital presses.

In a related Fogra certification procedure, both presses were also tested using alternative media and software. "Fogra certification of this ideal combination of digital press, color management software and substrate is an important step for customers in Europe, as it gives them the confidence to be able to match the latest industry standards with ease and deliver a consistent quality - a true alternative to conventional printing. This is the latest in a long line of certifications and awards that CGS' color management technology has received. Now HP Indigo users around the world can be assured that their digital printing solution meets internationally recognized standards," explains Trevor Haworth, CEO of CGS Publishing Technologies, and adds: "Another important aspect in digital printing is the ease of operation of such a color management system. We have partnered with several leading digital press manufacturers to deliver an intuitive and effective solution for users of all skill levels, simplifying complex operations with seamless integration into existing workflows and matching color consistency across multiple platforms. The intuitive, wizard-based, calibration process of ORIS Press Matcher Pro takes the user to full industry certification quality in three simple steps, easy to understand and simple to follow. The result is a system capable of meeting the higher requirements of contract proofing in terms of tone value reproduction, color accuracy and overall color gamut."
