NES Worldwide launches CtP processing system at Print '09

Press release from the issuing company

Westfield, MA, September 8, 2009 - NES Worldwide is pleased to announce the launch of the DIAMOND Computer to Plate Processing System at the Print '09 show at McCormick Place, in Chicago, IL on Friday September 11, 2009.  Visitors to the Print '09 show can see the NES Worldwide DIAMOND CtP Processing System on display at the IBF Corporation stand, booth number 7347.

Designed to provide the highest degree of prepress productivity and flexibility, NES Worldwide has introduced the unique DIAMOND Computer to Plate Processing System, which is compatible with all current digital plate technologies:  thermal positive, thermal negative, thermal chemistry-free, violet photopolymer, and violet chemistry-free.  And the DIAMOND CtP Plate Processing System can be "field modified" (while installed at a printer's location) to convert from any digital plate processing system to any other:  i.e., from Thermal Negative to Thermal Positive or Thermal Chemistry Free, OR from any Thermal platform to Violet Photopolymer or Violet Chemistry Free.  So regardless of which imager or digital plate is chosen by the printer over the course of many years, NES Worldwide's DIAMOND CtP Processing System provides a universal migration path for a printer's changing plate technology needs. And when NES Worldwide's core competence in equipment remanufacturing is taken into consideration, it proves (in the words of Derek Case, NES Worldwide's Director of Marketing & Business Development) that, "DIAMONDS really ARE forever!"

"Printers' digital plate needs are changing, and they need a modular processing platform that can adapt to those changing needs," states Derek Case. "With ever-shorter run lengths, printers are considering the migration path from traditional (positive or negative) Thermal printing plates to Chemistry Free Thermal plates.  Printers are also attracted to the improved platemaking consistency offered when migrating from violet photopolymer to violet chemistry free plates-which takes the development step completely out of the equation.  NES Worldwide designed the DIAMOND CtP Processing System to offer printers a universal migration path to adapt to those changing needs over time."

The DIAMOND CtP Processing System includes a patent-pending chemistry conservation system, water saving system, and 2-way platesetter communications link-providing the most technically-advanced and ecologically sustainable processing system.  An optional Violet plate finishing module-which can be quickly configured for either violet photopolymer or violet chemistry free plates-is connected to and controlled by the processor.  The DIAMOND Thermal Chemistry Free cleanout unit shares the same compact design with the violet plate finishing module, and offers both flexibility and the ultimate in simplicity.
