The BBH 150 system is designed for the direct-mail environment where Standard Mail makes up the bulk of the applications.
 
The BBH 150 system is a high-speed inserting system capable of cycling up to 16,000 letter envelopes and 10,000 flats envelopes per hour. Designed for 7/24 operation, this heavy-duty inserter provides a long life with very low parts usage and minimal down-time. The BBH 150 is extremely flexible and easily handles a wide range of products with the availability of different feeding technologies to process almost any application.

The inserting method employed by the BBH 150 reduces the number of moving parts, simplifies the flow of material and reduces stoppages, which increases up-time and reduces the burden on the operators. Operator efficiency is further increased through easy access to the inserting area and feeder hoppers
 
Insert feeders and the envelope feeder are located on the operator side of the system over the main collation track, and inserts and envelopes travel in the same direction. Operation is further simplified because envelope feeding and opening are accomplished in a very short, direct delivery path. Reduced complexity for the operators translates to a significant reduction in scrap and rework, and higher productivity.
 
The BBH 150 employs rotary feeder technology for feeding envelopes and inserts. The large-diameter rotary drum with dual grippers and captured cams eliminates feeding problems and material skew typically associated with lower-cost single-gripper designs. In addition to the standard rotary feeder, additional modular feeder options are available for a wide range of production requirements, including rotary feeders with separator disk, shuttle feeders and friction feeders.
 
The BBH 150 can also be provided with other optional features including: inkjet addressing, including "read and print" capability, back-up feeding, insert matching, ZIP sorting using envelope markers or envelope offsetting, various postage meter options, envelope diverters, and envelope delivery conveyors. The BBH 150 can also be provided with envelope reading, tracking and verification capability using the BBH JETVision Express or JETVision Platinum vision tools.
 
The BBH 150 is ideal for use in self-service environments because the system employs industry-standard control electronics, motor drives, motors and sensors. Thanks to its rugged design and construction, the BBH 150 consistently demonstrates lower parts consumption and lower maintenance costs as compared to competitive systems.
 
 
The BBH 150 can handle inserts ranging from 3.2" x 4.3" to 9" x 11.8", and a maximum thickness of 0.25". It can process envelopes ranging from 4" x 7" to 10" x 13", with a maximum collation thickness of 0.4".
