MeasureColor offers new color control software for the packaging market

Press release from the issuing company

Greenville, SC- MeasureColor Inc and Advanced Color Technologies Inc today announce the release of a suite of new software products targeting the packaging market that will be on display at the PRINT 09 trade show in Chicago. MeasureColor will be located in the South Hall, booth #1463C.

Norm Uress, President of MeasureColor, said that this suite of programs "will bring together in one grouping, capabilities used by the package brand color owner, designer, and printer to measure and control the IMAGE that the printer must reproduce to make the run successful." While there have been individual software packages that controlled each of the steps using color bars, Uress went on to say "that MeasureColor is the first to offer a client-server based system that contains information on the exact IMAGE specified by the brand owner. All too often, printers have no idea of where to do their color measurements and measuring the wrong area of a even the right color can lead to improper color decisions being made."

Uress continued, "having learned by selling color measurement solutions for nearly 25 years, one of the biggest problems is that press operators need to know exactly where to measure a particular color or bad decisions will be made. Now the operators will see an exact replica of the press sheet on their monitors and know exactly where the measurement should take place, including what color difference is permitted for each color! Written in Adobe FLEX, the software is easy to use and almost requires no keyboard interaction at all."

MeasureColor and Advanced Color Technologies have more than 25 years combined experience in the Graphic Arts Industry helping big and small companies solve their color related problems. For a demonstration of this exciting new product, please visit MeasureColor at booth #1463C, South Hall.
