MeasureColor and Advanced Color Technologies announce software package for commercial printers

Press release from the issuing company

Greenville, SC- MeasureColor Inc and Advanced Color Technologies Inc today announce the release of a suite of new software products, MeasureColor Pro and Basic, targeting the commercial printing market that will be on display at the PRINT 09 trade show in Chicago. MeasureColor will be located in the South Hall, booth #1463C.

Norm Uress, President of MeasureColor, said that this suite of programs "will bring together in one grouping, capabilities used by the brand color owner, designer, and printer to measure and control the entire process from design to production." While there have been individual software packages that controlled each of the steps, Uress went on to say "that MeasureColor Pro And Basic are the first to offer a client-server based system that controls the process all the way from the designer, through the substrate supplier, to the printer and finally to the consumer. The products contain modules that monitor the color gamut of all the output devices, stores your custom color libraries, conducts proof certifications using either the UGRA/FOGRA or IDEAlliance media wedges, allows for the calculation and effect of dry-back on a multitude of substrates, calculates CTP Compensation, measures Ink-Zone densities and delta values for process colors and spot colors and produces outstanding reports. Also in the software is the industry leading ChromaPlus algorithms for the proper color correction calculation where using Lab colr values may lead to the wrong correction. Written in Adobe Flash, the software is easy to use and almost requires no keyboard interaction at all."

MeasureColor and Advanced Color Technologies have more than 25 years combined experience in the Graphic Arts Industry helping big and small companies solve their color related problems. For a demonstration of this exciting new product, please visit MeasureColor at booth #1463C, South Hall.
