New Toyo UV PowerFLEX Flexographic ink premieres at Print '09

Press release from the issuing company

ADDISON, Ill. - Advances in flexographic printing components in recent years have enabled printers to achieve higher levels of quality. Printers using the flexographic process have countless options when it comes to project design and style. Selecting the right ink for the job at hand can make all the difference in the visual impact of the printed piece.

Print '09 will mark the world premier of UV PowerFLEX, Toyo Ink's most recent development to help printers expand their business opportunities in the flexographic segment of the market.

"Printers not only want high color density and image quality, but they also are greatly concerned with mitigating the environmental impacts of their operations," said John Copeland, president and chief operating officer of Toyo Ink America. "UV PowerFLEX offers significant performance advantages for printing companies that typically use conventional water-based and solvent-based flexographic inks."

UV PowerFLEX combines the printability, efficiency and stability for which Toyo inks are acclaimed with the energy savings associated with UV curing. Specifically designed to be a solid, all-around UV-curable ink series, UV PowerFLEX performs extremely well over a wide range of flexographic printing applications.

The low-viscosity ink affords excellent transfer, good adhesion and low dot gain on both plastic and paper substrates. The quick-curing properties enable faster turnaround times on print projects.

UV PowerFLEX is available in process colors and Pantone base colors, in addition to opaque white and UV extender.
