ROLAND 50 installed in Switzerland

Press release from the issuing company

Eicher Druck AG can be described as creative, innovative and flexible, offering highly personal service.  Business stationery, full-color leaflets, brochures, special printing techniques such as blind embossing and foil stamping of small-format products, as well as digital printing can be found in the portfolio of this traditional printing company.

The first small format press with double-diameter cylinder technology
The decisive factor for Eicher Druck placing the order with manroland was the unique design of the ROLAND 50 based on the press manufacturer's large format models.  With the flat sheet travel over the double-diameter impression cylinders and transferters, the printing system can process substrates up to 0.8 millimeters thick with no marking.  The delivery pile height of 700 millimeters is above average in this format class and, with thick substrates, really pays off with much longer intervals between pile changing.

For short makeready times, the ROLAND 50 at Eicher Druck AG is equipped with the EPL (Ergonomic Plate Loading) plate changing system, washing devices for the blanket and impression cylinders, as well as the inking and dampening units.  It also includes the remote adjustment of lateral, circumferential and diagonal register.  Transferring ink zone presetting data from prepress to the ColorPilot smart color measurement and control system also increases the net output of the ROLAND 50, making it a full commercial press in a small package.

Another important factor in the buying decision was the customer's trust in      manroland's printservices portfolio, along with a focus on emissions control and ecological issues,  Finally, the ROLAND 50 is integrated into the building services of Eicher Druck AG for optimal utilization of energy resources.
