BCC Software Attracts Attention from Major Printer/Mailers

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY - BCC Software, a BÖWE BELL + HOWELL company and a leading developer of high-performance mailing technology solutions, is partnering with more leading printer-mailers thanks to a combination of the company's dedicated customer support and the comprehensive capabilities of Mail Manager Full Service, BCC's top-tier postal software product.

Since its launch in 2008, Mail Manager Full Service has attracted the attention of such major clients as Security Finance, a consumer loan company headquartered in Spartanburg, SC. Handling large mail volumes with diverse postal requirements, Security Finance needed to have faith in its mailing software developer to be able to provide a superior product and committed customer support. Frustrated with its previous provider, the company switched to Mail Manager Full Service. "It's a very robust software. There's a lot of power there," says Marty Bowie, Marketing Manager and Head of Administrative Services. "I'm pleased with how much [my team is] able to get done."

The choice was also clear for IPC Print Services, a St. Joseph, MI, company specializing in flat mail printing. IPC was struggling with its previous vendor's dwindling customer service and increasing prices, but that changed when the company switched to a partnership with BCC and Mail Manager Full Service. Kerry Still, Mail Technology Manager, was impressed by BCC's commitment to meeting IPC's needs via a tailored solutions set. "It was very partner-like – they listened to our problems, and came up with what we needed," he says. "And the cost savings for us was just huge. People need to be looking at BCC."

P.J. Green, Inc., an 80-year-old mailing and fulfillment company in Utica, NY, that handles millions of mailpieces each month, also looked to BCC after becoming disillusioned with their previous vendor. Kerry Gradel, Officer/Application Analyst, had two key criteria in her decision for choosing a replacement: ample support; and Move Update offerings that were complete, well planned, and easy to use. Mail Manager Full Service fulfilled both those needs, particularly with the address-correction services accessible from within the software. "We've made [BCC's Move Update services] mandatory for everyone's jobs. It helps everyone avoid hassles with the Post Office," Gradel says. "We're really pleased. Switching to BCC was the right decision."

Cleveland-based Consolidated Graphics Group (CGG), a leading commercial printer in North America, had been using BCC's base Mail Manager software for several years as one component in a multi-platform set of solutions. When the company noticed a slip in quality and support from another vendor, CGG replaced that supplier with an upgrade to Mail Manager Full Service, whose high-value automation capabilities would increase job efficiency and economy. Another important consideration was the growing importance of PostalOne! and the Intelligent Mail barcode. While the company went through periods of testing, "I saw that your PostalOne! files are perfect," says Michelle Hilston, Director of Information Systems and Client Services. "That was shared with me by various postal people I dealt with [during] the qualification process."

Mail Manager Full Service provides integrated support for the Full Service Intelligent Mail barcode and delivers a comprehensive suite of presorting and list-management functionality including enhanced merge/purge and deluxe 24/7 automation capabilities, and a proprietary address-matching API that delivers dramatically higher processing speeds than the industry-standard USPS matching engine. "These and other features, coupled with BCC's deep commitment to postal innovations and customer service and support, are making Mail Manager Full Service an important addition to mailing and printing facilities across the country," says Corey Smith, BCC Vice President of Business Development. "We're thrilled to see so many new and existing clients taking advantage of everything BCC has to offer."
