Press release from the issuing company

Lexington, Kentucky USA -- WhatTheyThink.com today reported that nearly 400 industry professionals registered to attend a free printing industry educational webinar. Digital Technology: Enabling Short Run Packaging, which was led by industry expert Barbara A. Pellow, Group Director of Production Services for research firm InfoTrends.  The event, held on April 29th, was sponsored by HP Graphic Arts.

The archive of the event may be accessed at the webinar archive page.

“The panelists in this session did an exceptional job at explaining how digital printing can benefit the package design and production process,” said Pellow.  “We were especially pleased to have Lewis Goldstein, Vice President of Marketing for Kiss My Face, present the brand owner perspective.  This was an unique opportunity for print service providers to gain an understanding of the issues and concerns that brand owners face in gaining and maintaining marketshare in a dynamic and competitive marketplace.”

Pellow was joined by

  • Matthew Gindele, Strategic Business Consultant and Enterprise Lead, Brands, HP.  Gindele has more than 30 years of comprehensive experience in the printing and packaging industry. He will explain why short run packaging is important, its economics and where it fits in the market.
  • Rosemary Joralemon, Director of Sales & Marketing, InfoLabel, Inc.  Joralemon joined Info Label, Inc. in 2008 as Director of Sales & Marketing.  She brings 25 years of Sales, Sales Management and Marketing experience from such companies as Johnson & Johnson, Roche, and Quintiles. Since joining Info Label, Rosemary has accomplished such projects as web development, marketing collateral development, lead generation, implementation of Info Label’s Sustainability Program, and the successful installation and implementation of the new HP Indigo ws6000 digital press.   Rosemary graduated from Fairfield University with a BA in Sociology.
  • Lewis Goldstein, Vice President of Marketing, Kiss My Face.  Goldstein joined Kiss My Face in this role in 2008.  He brings over 17 years of marketing, licensing, promotion and advertising experience working for brands with sales from $13m to $1B. At Kiss My Face, Lewis has focused on building systems and processes to help the natural and organic body care brand continue its growth in both the natural and conventional world.  As the category explodes with new users interested in using “cleaner” products, Lewis has developed marketing strategies that insure the company has a simple, straightforward and concise message for new and existing users.  Prior to Kiss My Face, Lewis worked for Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages and The Boston Beer Company.

“It is clear from listening to Mr. Goldstein as a brand owner, and Ms. Joralemon, representing the label converter that partners with his operation, that digital printing can make a big difference in both the economics and the manufacturing flexibility, especially in the label market,” said Randy Davidson, President, WhatTheyThink. “It is exciting to see this aspect of the digital printing market gaining traction.  We appreciate the fact that HP Graphic Arts sponsored this important session, allowing us to make it available at no charge.”
