Van Son Supports Printers in Achieving G7 Certification

Press release from the issuing company

Islandia, New York -- Van Son Holland Ink Corporation, a leading global printing ink manufacturer known around the world for producing high quality, high performance inks for every offset press, today announced its new Vs Zero ink was developed to offer printers the optimal preconditions to meet G7 certification. Because Vs Zero ink is DIN ISO 2846-1 compliant, it supports the close visual match from proof to press that complies with G7 certification standards, enabling printers to more easily reproduce a similar visual appearance across printing types and substrates, affording print predictability of a final product's color. Additionally, Vs Zero ink is the perfect choice for earth-friendly environments as it is a vegetable-based ink, and is 100% VOC-free, containing no petroleum solvents or mineral oils.

"Vs Zero ink delivers the color quality and control integral to achieving G7 certification," said Joe Bendowski, president of Van Son. "Because inks are an essential component in the G7 calibration process, we've developed Vs Zero ink to meet the strict guidelines of color criteria that are necessary for G7 certified printing and print predictability."

G7 certification is a proof-to-print process focused on colorimetric data and gray balance as key indicators of print quality to ensure print technology elements can reproduce an offset lithography sheet. Due to the stringent regulation of process controls associated with G7 certification, printers who achieve the certification will ensure customers they have established best practices to meet the highest of printing standards.
