UNIMAC Graphics awarded Environmental Management System certification

Press release from the issuing company

Carlstadt, NJ, UNIMAC Graphics announced today it has been awarded ISO 14001: 2004 Environmental Management System (EMS) certification.  The recent certification enables UNIMAC Graphics to further demonstrate its adherence to important environmental policies and best practices.  These practices are designed to reduce waste and energy consumption, and ensure the most stringent environmental standards are met.

According to George Amann, President of UNIMAC Graphics,   "I believe, everything we do has an impact on our planet either good or bad.  As a company or an individual we have the power to choose what our global impact will be.  Embracing green initiatives isn't just about helping to preserve rainforests, it's also about improving our children's, our employees and our own health and overall quality of life.  We are one of a small percentage of printers in the United States that has invested the time and capital, to become ISO 14001 EMS Certified and we take our environmental responsibilities very seriously, because it benefits all of us."

UNIMAC Graphics is already ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems Certified, as well as FSC, SFI, & PEFC Chain of Custody Certified.  The ISO 14001 EMS - Environmental Management System exists to help organizations minimize how their operations affect the environment and comply with applicable laws, regulations and other environmentally oriented requirements while continually improving on all of the above.
