New cylinder replacement program for Goss M-600 presses

Press release from the issuing company

Initiative for world's leading 16-page web press model designed to extend premium print quality and competitive lifespan

Goss International has established a new cylinder replacement program for M-600 web presses designed to help printers maintain the premium print quality and extend the competitive lifespan of their systems.

The initiative, which includes pricing incentives and the opportunity to update the plate lock-up system on older presses, is part of the wide range of enhancement options offered through the Goss Lifetime Support program.

"The mechanical condition of the cylinders is a key element in maintaining high print quality," explains Antoine Chevalier, director of Goss Lifetime Support programs in Europe. "Even with an extremely durable, high-quality press like the M-600 system, years of operation, high speeds, and exposure to consumables and cleaning agents can lead to natural cylinder wear and potential compromises."

The 16-page M-600 press model was introduced in 1992, and there are currently well over 2,000 printing units in operation in 60 countries. Autoplate technology, the first fully automatic plate changing system in the world, was introduced on the M-600 press in 1996.

The new M-600 enhancement program includes a favorable discount on the cost of the replacement cylinders, which is available through the end of the year. "We have listened to our customers and created what we feel is a compelling opportunity that will help them keep delivering the premium print quality level that the M-600 press is known for," explains Ron Bartell, a director of Goss Lifetime Support programs in North America.
