2010 GALA young entrepreneur award recipient to be honored

Orlando, FL. -  The Printing Association of Florida (PAF) proudly announces that Gerardo Zamora Reynoso, Director General of Centro de Autoedicion Zamora, CAZ S.A. de C.V. (Grupo CAZ) is the recipient of the 2010 Graphic Arts Leaders of the Americas (GALA) Young Entrepreneur Award.

Gerardo Zamora Reynoso will receive PAF's prestigious GALA Young Entrepreneur Award during the annual reception held in conjunction with the Graphics of the Americas Expo & Conference, Miami Beach, Fla. February 25-27, 2010. The 2010 GALA reception will be held at the
W Hotel, South Beach.

Established in 2009, The Young Entrepreneur Award recognizes one of Latin America's next generation of business leaders who has worked tirelessly to further the graphic communications industry. The award is given to an exceptional individual whose efforts in facing marketing and technology challenges in today's competitive marketplace sets an example for his or her peers.

Gerardo Zamora Reynoso will be honored along with the two 2010 GALA honorees, John R. Berthelson of Suttle-Straus (North America) and Carlos Hernan Aguirre Vargas of Quebecor World Chile (Latin America), before an international audience of graphic communications industry leaders and guests at the annual awards banquet and reception.

The 2010 Young Entrepreneur Award recipient's family heritage is well-ensconced in the graphics industry.  Gerardo Zamora Reynoso was born on March 28, 1966 to Do-a Elvira Reynoso de Zamora and Hector Zamora Velazquez, whose professional career in the graphics field spans more than 60 years.  Gerardo Zamora Reynoso's grandfather is Benito Zamora Arreola, a member of the Juan Pablo order, doyenne of the Mexican printing industries and founder of Litografos Unidos.

Continuing the rich traditions of his family, Gerardo Zamora Reynoso launched his professional career in 1993 when he founded Centro de Autoedicion Zamora, CAZ S.A de C.V. as a prepress company. Today, he is Director General of that company, now known as Grupo CAZ, a full-service printing plant that employs 60 professionals and is equipped with the most technologically modern graphic design, prepress and production equipment.  The company offers an array of services in four integrated areas: digital, prepress, offset printing and finishing.   

Grupo CAZ, renowned for its high quality work and customer service, has won numerous awards and recognitions in local and international printing competitions including premio Nacional de Artes Graficas, Theobaldo de nigris and the Premier Print Awards, receiving the coveted "Benny".

The company's local and international clients include Walt Disney, GNP Grupo Nacional Provincial, L'Oreal, TV Azteca, Revista Etcetera, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Mexico desconocido, Revista Aventura vertical, La Costena and many others.

In addition to his professional achievements, Gerardo Zamora Reynoso is very committed to graphic arts industry.  He is an active member of the Union de Industriales Litografos de Mexico, UILMAC, and is also is dedicated to satisfying the needs of the publishing industry through education and cultural awareness.
