Thursday, November 13, 2008

Press release from the issuing company

SHANGHAI, CHINA  November 12, 2008 - Following up on a successful Graph Expo, ECRM today announced they will be exhibiting their energy-efficient platesetter technology at the up-coming All Print in China 2008 trade show. Exhibiting with their local marketing partner, The Second Film Factory of Lucky Group, ECRM will show case the MAKO NEWSmatic platesetter in booth E5A101. All Print in China 2008 will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, in Shanghai, China, (November 14th to 17th). For more information about ECRM and their offerings, go to www.ecrm.com.

ECRM Platesetters Conserve Energy and Costs

For years, ECRM has engineered their violet CTP platesetters to be both economical and energy-efficient. For example, the MAKO CTP platesetters are designed to draw as little energy as it takes to light three 100-watt light bulbs. For some commercial customers, the cost saving in using an ECRM platesetter (versus an industry competitor) can add up to hundreds of dollars each year. In an internal research study comparing various CTP offerings (based on product rating label, using lowest rated voltage and rated current), the MAKO platesetters were as much as 19 times more energy-efficient than some popular thermal CTP solutions.

MAKO NEWSmatic

The fully automated MAKO NEWSmatic provides enhanced levels of simplicity, versatility and economy. Its the ideal transition to unattended CTP production for newspapers. Optimized plate handling allows high-production performance of over 60 broadsheet plates per hour at 1270 dpi, while a straight-through plate path eliminates complex load/unload cycles. Ideal for all popular single-width newspaper presses (from Berliner to Goss), the MAKO NEWSmatic accommodates the widest range of web widths up to a maximum format of 635mm x 927mm (25 x 36.5).

ECRMs patented FleXarm slip sheet removal system makes automation a realistic possibility for smaller and medium-sized printers as sensors track slip-sheets through pick-up, removal and disposal using patented slip sheet compacting technology. ECRMs high-capacity plate cassette and trolley can hold up to 340 8-gauge (0.2mm) plates or 250 12-gauge (0.3mm) plates at one time. To provide added flexibility, the optical configuration includes eight resolutions from 1016 to 2540 dpi and three anamorphic resolution sets (1016 x 2032 dpi, 1200 x 2400 dpi, and 1270 x 2540 dpi).
