Nathen Printing Services selects manroland 700 series Hi-Print press

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

Press release from the issuing company

(August 12, 2008) When Nathen Printing Services Ltd. went looking for a new 41-inch press to upgrade its pressroom, they wanted something special: a press configured to provide them with capabilities unmatched in the western North American market. The company found exactly what it was seeking in manroland's        Hi-Print technology.  Their ROLAND 710P press, which includes Prindor in-line foiling, began production in July and is delivering results as expected.
Family-Owned and committed to its customers

Nathen Printing is similar to many other printers.  A family run business, ownership is led by Managing Director Hardeep Jouhal, and Cameron Anderson, General Manager.  Their story of success is one that follows a dedication to offer customers high quality printing, which is why the company continues to prevail as a leader in the British Columbia market.

"We have always reinvested in leading-edge print technology that enables us to      deliver high quality work punctually.  Our clients appreciate the initiative we take to exceed their expectations," Jouhal said.

Nathen Printing is beginning a new phase with the addition of Jouhal's sons, Navi and Michael, who are taking on a more direct approach in the day-to-day           operations.  "It became apparent that a new press was required to fulfil our clients' ambitions for more specialized work," noted Navi Jouhal.

"When it came time to upgrade, everyone at Nathen had a say in what press and configuration was needed.  Not just any press configuration would do," Anderson said. "We wanted to have production capability that no else could offer in western Canada, yet have enough mainstream flexibility where many print buyers would gravitate to it."

Nathen Printing chose the manroland Hi-Print 700 series press with Prindor in-line
cold fusion foiling.  The 10-color Perfector also has full UV capability and is        expected to increase productivity while improving quality, workflow and ecology, "one of the fringe benefits you get in buying from manroland," Hardeep Jouhal said.

"The Prindor in-line foiler offers a unique capability to a print buyer.  It provides the ability to create a finish unlike any other metallic product on the market in print form," said Sean Springett, District Sales Manager for manroland Canada.

"We now have the capability to lay down foil in-line during the print run," Anderson added.  "Not only will it accent   aspects of the image in silver or gold, but it can additionally print CMYK over the foil to create an entirely new image impression or printed piece.  With the addition of the UV, we can print 4-over-4 with in-line dry trap varnish, another capability that gives us an edge in this market."

Nathen Printing Services specializes in printing catalogues, annual reports,     booklets, direct mail, magazines, marketing materials, business stationery and packaging.  It also provides die-cutting, gluing, folding and saddle stitching, as well as many other post-press services to compliment its myriad commercial printing options.
