Press release from the issuing company

Shanghai.August 11, 2008 --- DuPont Packaging Graphics in conjunction with flexography industry leaders Esko Artwork, United Printing and Siegwerk organized a successful "Flexo - The Alternative" seminar in the DuPont R&D Center in Pudong, Shanghai. The seminar was designed to educate packaging buyers and manufacturers in China about the advantages of Flexography for flexible packaging.

Globally, Flexography is a leading print process for packaging printing and is supported by DuPont Packaging Graphic's revolutionary Cyrel FAST thermal plate making technology and the EskoArtwork Cyrel Digital Imager.

Participants included consumer products companies such as Coca Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, P&G and General Mills.  In total, more than 60 guests from leading gravure & flexographic converters and consumer products companies from China attended the seminar to learn more about the quality, productivity and sustainability benefits flexography offers for packaging printing.

"Consumer product companies and converters are facing increasing challenges --- rising input costs, global competition and increasing demands for environmental sustainability.  Flexography helps them to meet these challenges," said Vijay Ramachandran, Marketing Manager, DuPont Packaging Graphics Asia Pacific.  "Flexo has the unique ability to print on the thinnest extensible films so companies can reduce their total packaging costs.  The high quality graphics help to enhance a product's shelf appeal.  And according to the latest Life Cycle Analysis studies conducted by a third party and sponsored by DuPont Packaging Graphics, all this is possible while significantly reducing the environmental footprint through both Flexography and Cyrel FAST."

The seminar explored topics such as flexo investment, design, print quality, plate durability and ink performance.  The event concluded with an active discussion about the benefits that Flexographic printing offers to both the brand owner and the packaging converter.

"There is an enormous opportunity for Flexography in the packaging graphics markets in China," said Jagdish Kumar, Director, DuPont Packaging Graphics Asia Pacific,  "DuPont Packaging Graphics, along with other industry leaders,  is committed to bringing the quality, productivity and sustainability advantages of Flexography to the Chinese market.".
