Standard Register Recognized by Daimler Trucks

Press release from the issuing company

DAYTON, Ohio (July 22, 2008) – Standard Register today announced it has been recognized by Daimler Trucks North America as a Master of Quality supplier for 2007. A six-time recipient of the award, Standard Register is a leading provider of document services and print management solutions.

As part of its 21st annual Masters of Quality program, Daimler Trucks North America recognized only 43 of its over 3,000 North American manufacturers that provide components for its Freightliner, Sterling and Western Star truck brands. The Masters of Quality Award is the highest recognition that the company presents to suppliers. The winners represent the best of the best among suppliers, demonstrating exceptional results in delivering quality parts and components and displaying an ongoing commitment to quality improvement.

"In light of the many challenges that we face in our industry today, this award is no easy accomplishment," said Roger Nielsen, chief operating officer, Daimler Trucks North America. "The Masters of Quality winners are the role models for our entire supplier base."

Standard Register supplies Daimler's Freightliner brand with Manufacturing Parts Solutions, including tamper-resistant decals, product identification labels, compliance consulting and design expertise, as well as supply chain management through the company's Label Management Inventory System (LMIS). In order to receive a Masters of Quality award, these products and services must meet stringent criteria related to quality assurance, service, aftermarket parts, materials, engineering, warranty and purchasing.

According to Mike Gibson, managing director, Manufacturing Market, Standard Register, "Today's volatile marketplace requires manufacturers to produce quality products while maintaining costs. To do this, they rely heavily on a solid supplier base.

"This recognition is a testament of Standard Register's ongoing commitment to improving the quality of our products and services so that Daimler Trucks North America can meet and exceed customer expectations while maintaining and improving cost efficiency," added Gibson.
