NAQP Announces 10th Annual PrintImage Excellence Awards

Press release from the issuing company

July 24, 2008 – Paramus, N.J. – The National Association of Quick Printers (NAQP) has announced a call for entries for the 10th Annual PrintImage Excellence Awards (PEA), a printing competition for the quick, digital and small commercial printing industry. The deadline for entries is September 5, 2008. Winners will receive their awards at the 2008 NAQP Print Owners Conference in Chicago, Ill., October 23-26, 2008.

"Inaugurated in 1999, the PrintImage Excellence Awards recognizes quick and small commercial printers and copy companies for their work in 18 distinct categories," noted NAQP president and CEO Steve Johnson. "We are proud to offer this important award program to provide the much-deserved recognition and underscore the exceptional work our industry delivers to customers every day." In addition to being recognized at the annual NAQP Print Owners Conference, winners are featured in a variety of publicity and event venues throughout the year, including a front-cover feature in Quick Printingmagazine, a publishing partner in the competition. "It's a wonderful opportunity for owners and senior management to gain extra visibility for their businesses," Johnson added.

According to Steven Fullerton, director of trade relations for Kodak Graphic Communications Group, which will be sponsoring the awards, "The PrintImage Excellence Awards recognize the talented creators and techniques used in the development of outstanding printed work. The winners represent the best of the best that have achieved outstanding success with their companies and through their continuing efforts to help drive the 'value of print.' We at Kodak are committed to promoting the many uses and benefits of print, and are proud to continue our sponsorship of this year's NAQP PrintImage Excellence Awards."

Judging is based on a variety of criteria, including design, color preparation and finishing. Participants submit an entry form and at least two samples for each category entered. A single entry fee for NAPL, NAQP and R&E members is $45; $75 for non-members. Contact Christina Ciurej at 800-234-0040 or via email at [email protected] for additional information on the PrintImage Excellence Awards. Entry forms can be downloaded at NAQP.
