Finch Paper Retains Helene Smith Public Relations

Press release from the issuing company

Glens Falls, NY & Orlando, FL - July 21, 2008 -- Finch Paper, LLC and Helene Smith Public Relations & Marketing Communications (HSPR) today announce that HSPR is representing Finch in supporting its premium uncoated paper products. HSPR will work with Finch executive and marketing teams to promote the company's uncoated paper product line for digital printing, and its activities in the digital printing/graphic arts markets.

"The beautiful, 200 year old stone mill that anchors this amazing company is home to a talented and dedicated group of professionals who care about making great paper without compromising anything - especially the environment. It's a privilege to be asked to represent a company that balances tradition and timeless customer service ideals with high-quality, state-of-the-art offerings for traditional and digital printers," says Helene Smith, founder and principal of HSPR.

Anthony McDowell, vice president of sales and marketing at Finch Paper says, "We are confident that HSPR's knowledge of digital printing technology, combined with its track record in providing communications services in the graphic arts and imaging space, will give Finch premium uncoated papers maximum visibility in the marketplace. We look forward to sharing an exciting and successful future."

Finch Paper is an independent, single-mill manufacturer competing against multi-national conglomerates, and prides itself on its "high-touch" customer experience and tremendous flexibility in meeting customers' needs.  Finch Papers has one mill, four paper machines and a team of people who work hard every day to produce outstanding paper with minimum impact on the environment, and who always seek to deliver a level of value and service that exceeds customers' expectations.

Finch recently unveiled a new brand identity as simple and friendly as the company's business practices. "Doing business with Finch is like working with a small, neighborhood business - and that's a key message that we will be working with Finch to convey," says Smith.

Another story unique to Finch is its commitment to minimizing its impact on the environment.  The Finch Paper mill has been located in the City of Glens Falls, NY, on the banks of the Hudson River and at the edge of the famed Adirondack Mountains, for more than a century. The company was a leader in the development of professional, responsible forest management in the early years of the 20th century, and hired one of the nation's first professional foresters.  After caring for more than 160,000 acres of Adirondack forestland for generations, Finch Paper recently sold those lands to The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in a landmark environmental agreement through which Finch foresters continue to care for the lands on TNC's behalf.  In addition to its forestry commitment, Finch Paper has achieved environmental innovations throughout its fully integrated mill for pulp and papermaking.
