Xerox's Digital Printing Technology Recognized By Better Buys for Business

Press release from the issuing company

(July 16, 2008) Better Buys for Business awarded Xerox four 2008 Editor's Choice Awards in the categories of high-volume production printing, very-high volume on-demand printing and color production printing.

The Xerox 4112/4127 Copier/Printer won in the high-volume production printing category. The black-and-white, 110 and 125 pages per minute digital printer is an entry-level product designed for enterprises and print providers that require speed, functionality, ease of use, image quality and workflow flexibility that traditionally is only offered in more expensive high-end black-and white devices.

For the second year in a row, the Nuvera 100/120/144 EA Digital Production System received accolades in the very-high-volume on-demand printing category. The black-and-white platform uses Emulsion Aggregation (EA) Toner, creating a quality that is comparable to offset printing with finer lines, higher levels of detailing and a smooth matte finish.

In the color production printing category, the DocuColor 7000AP/8000AP Digital Press was awarded editor's choice. Printing at 70 and 80 pages per minute respectively, the 7000AP/8000AP color presses offer the ability to select from three print operation modes, allowing for the highest level of productivity and versatility by printing at the full rated speed based on different types of applications, media or paper weights required. This is also the second year the DocuColor 8000AP Digital Press received this editor's choice recognition.

Rounding out the awards, Xerox received Editor's Choice for the second year in a row in the color production printing category for the DocuColor 242/252/260 series. This series of color printers was selected for its high image quality with enhanced gloss modes and use of Xerox's Emulsion Aggregation (EA) High Grade Toner that produces sharper details, great color and superior halftone images than traditional toner.
