ECRM Debuts DPX 4 Eco At drupa

Press release from the issuing company

TEWKSBURY, MASS -- May 21, 2008 -- ECRM today announced they will debut the DPX 4 Eco at Drupa 2008. The DPX 4 Eco, a polyester platesetter, has a patented self-contained processing unit that produces press-ready plates in a very small footprint. This proven technology eliminates multi-bath chemistry processing. Though eco-friendly, the new poly-platesetter is also fully automated and capable of outputting 27 processed, dried and cut-to-size, ready-to-use plates per hour at 2540 dpi. ECRM is exhibiting the DPX 4 Eco in Hall 9, Stand C56 at Drupa 2008 (May 29th to June 11th in Dusseldorf, Germany). For more information about ECRM and their offerings, go to www.ecrm.com.

About DPX 4 Eco

The new DPX 4 Eco uses a field-tested and proven green technology. Instead of the plate entering a multi-bath processor, the chemistry is coated directly onto the plate in a thin layer. This results in extremely stable plate development and translates into a superior printed product. And with its dual magazine and built-in register punches, users can optimize their platesetter by outputting plates for two different presses, uninterrupted and without any operator intervention.

An integrated register punch system, for both 220mm and 425mm distances, ensures a perfect fit on press and endless time-savings from press adjustments. The DPX 4 Eco can be connected to any common front-end workflow, and automatic and dynamic adjustment of the spot size results in professional, high-quality plates. And the DPX 4 Eco does not require a water supply or drainage, making the system office or pressroom-compatible.
