KODAK Solutions Featured in Numerous Stands at drupa

ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 23-In addition to the broad portfolio of integrated solutions on display at Kodak's stand D01, in Hall 5, KODAK Products can be found throughout drupa. Vendors will feature Kodak's prepress, workflow and digital printing solutions on their stands.

KODAK UPFRONT Production Planning Software: KODAK UPFRONT Production Planning Software can be found at the DiMS!; EFI; Megalith; NaVision; Optichrome; Prism; Shuttleworth; Tharstern; CIP4 Innovations Center Park: JDF; Graphisoft; drupa Innovation Center Park: Print Buyer; Horizon; MBO; Muller Martini; and the Wohlenberg stands. UPFRONT Software helps enable users to automatically produce accurate job layouts, create imposition ready digital templates for prepress, and send JDF/CIP3 information to bindery equipment.

KODAK INSITE Variable Data Print System: The KODAK INSITE Variable Data Print System will appear in the drupa Innovation Center Park: Print Buyer stand. As part of Kodak's Unified Workflow Solutions, the INSITE Variable Data Print System delivers support for both inbound and outbound channels to offer a comprehensive communication solution including personalized URL (PURL) support, variable email, personalized landing pages and variable data print.

KODAK INSITE Prepress Portal System: The KODAK INSITE Prepress Portal System can be found at the KBA stand. The INSITE Prepress Portal System is an Internet portal into the KODAK PRINERGY Workflow System. The INSITE System streamlines job submission, job status tracking, online collaboration, and remote proofing or approval.

KODAK MAGNUS QUANTUM Platesetter: The KODAK MAGNUS 800 QUANTUM Platesetter can be found at the KBA and Sakurai stands. An eight page platesetter with exceptional imaging quality and speed, the KODAK MAGNUS 800 QUANTUM Platesetter features KODAK SQUARESPOT Imaging Technology and KODAK STACCATO Screening, and produces up to 40 plates per hour.

KODAK PRESSPROOF Software: KODAK PRESSPROOF Software will be shown at the KBA stand. PRESSPROOF Software brings monitor proofing's color accuracy and time savings into the pressroom. PRESSPROOF Software employs SWOP certified KODAK MATCHPRINT Virtual Technology to provide accurate and consistent color guidance by displaying a proof for viewing on qualified LCD monitors.

KODAK TRENDSETTER 800 III QUANTUM Platesetter: The KODAK TRENDSETTER 800 III QUANTUM Platesetter can be found at the 2FF stand and the Chengdu Xingraphics stand. The TRENDSETTER 800 Platesetter is a robust and reliable device with excellent imaging quality with KODAK SQUARESPOT Thermal Imaging Technology.

KODAK MATCHPRINT Inkjet 800 Proofing Solution: The KODAK MATCHPRINT Inkjet 800 Proofing Solution will be on display at the KBA stand. The MATCHPRINT Inkjet Proofing Solution is the first drop on demand proofing solution to be based on powerful Kodak developed software including innovative screening and calibration technologies, and a Certified Process for Color Confirmation.

KODAK NEXPRESS Glossing Unit: The KODAK NEXPRESS Glossing Unit can be found at the Ricoh/InfoTec stand. The NEXPRESS Glossing Unit adds a high impact, glossy finish for a varnished look and surface protection for frequently handled documents like direct mail and promotional materials.

KODAK NEXPRESS S2500 Digital Production Color Press: The KODAK NEXPRESS S2500 Digital Production Color Press will be on display at the Ricoh/InfoTec stand. The NEXPRESS S2500 Press is designed to meet the high quality, high volume production demands of short run, variable data printing. As their businesses grows, customers can leverage their investments by upgrading their presses on site with additional capabilities such as higher speed, more paper capacity, increased processing capability, finishing and the GATF InterTech Award-winning KODAK NEXPRESS Fifth Imaging Unit Solutions.

KODAK DIGIMASTER EX150 Digital Production System: The KODAK DIGIMASTER EX150 Digital Production System will be on display at the Watkiss and Ricoh/InfoTec stands. The DIGIMASTER System builds upon the proven quality, dependability, productivity, and flexibility of Kodak's award winning DIGIMASTER Technology Platform. The DIGIMASTER EX150 enables print providers to address the demanding needs of print buyers for faster turnaround time, new and creative print-on-demand documents with high quality and sophisticated inline finishing.

KODAK VERSAMARK DS5650 Printing System: The KODAK VERSAMARK DS5650 Printing Systems can be found at the Adphos stand. The VERSAMARK D-Series Printing Systems encompass a broad range of printing systems designed to offer a comprehensive selection for high volume digital printing features and functions to print variable information such as addresses, barcodes, and personalized messages inline or offline.

KODAK VERSAMARK DS9050 Printing System: The KODAK VERSAMARK DS9050 Printing System can be found at the Matti Technology stand. The VERSAMARK DS9050 Systems are capable of producing variable data in black, spot color or process color, and can be integrated with other printing technologies. The DS9050 Printing System product line offers a the capability to have multiple configurations of up to 16 heads printing variable information on web widths up to 1 meter (40 inches). The system also has the flexibility for customers to upgrade from one configuration to the next.

KODAK VERSAMARK DS6240 Printing System, 3,000 fpm version:  Sample output and a video of on press performance of the KODAK VERSAMARK DS6240 Printing System can be found at the MAN Roland stand. This version of the DS6240 runs 3,000 feet per minute and can imprint variable data onto newspapers at newspaper press speeds. This ultra high speed systems offers newspapers the capability to drive readership through more interactivity with the newspaper by printing games, variable coupons, 2D barcodes that link to the internet via cell phones, and other creative applications. The DS6240 is flexible in its ability to integrate with both the physical press as well as the newsprint system control capability.

In addition, Kodak's broad range of CTP plates will be featured on multiple stands:

- KODAK FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexographic Plates can be found at the SOMA Engineering stand. These new plates produce gravure quality output at up to 300 lpi.

- KODAK ELECTRA XD Thermal Plates will be running at the KBA stand and the Goss stand. ELECTRA XD Plates are extremely durable and offer exceptional dot stability on press.

- KODAK ELECTRA EXCEL HRL Thermal Plates will be running at the Komori stand. These high resolution plates are chosen for demanding print jobs, performing with the proven reliability and quality of the original KODAK ELECTRA Plate.

- KODAK SWORD ULTRA Thermal Plates can be found at the Komori stand. KODAK SWORD ULTRA Thermal Plates deliver exceptional quality and durability. These plates are ideal for printers who need a robust CTP plate and require high productivity.

-  KODAK SWORD J Thermal Plate, available only in Japan, can be found at the Sakurai stand. SWORD J Thermal Plates help printers deliver excellent print quality with KODAK STACCATO Screening Technology and strong durability for web offset printing with superb reliability, repeatability, convenience, and speed.

- KODAK EXTHERMO TP-W Thermal Plates will be running at the Sakurai stand.

- KODAK EXTHERMO TP-U Thermal Plates can be found at the Sakurai stand.

- KODAK THERMALNEWS GOLD Digital Plates can be found at the Nela stand. The THERMALNEWS GOLD Digital Plates meet the rigorous demands of newspaper printing while delivering outstanding resolution for premium newspaper printing and commercial quality printing. THERMALNEWS GOLD Plates offer run lengths of more than 200,000 impressions without postbaking.

- KODAK VIOLETNEWS Digital Plates will be on display at the Krause stand. VIOLETNEWS Digital Plates offer fast imaging and processing for newspapers demanding high productivity environments, as well as resilient press performance and low developer consumption.
