GI Direct moves enclosing facility

Tuesday, March 03, 2009

Press release from the issuing company

GI Direct, a leading integrated direct marketing and multi-channel customer communications provider, is pleased to announce the consolidation of operations onto a single site following the movement of their enclosing facility to their main Leicester site from 1 February.
The enclosing facility, previously based in the Hamilton area of Leicester, has been moved to the main Leicester site in a bid to improve security by eliminating the need to transport documents between the two locations and deliver operational and logistical cost savings. Combined with the installation of transactional enclosing machines, the facility makes GI Direct a leading supplier of both transactional and security printing in the UK and Europe.
Patrick Headley, Sales Director, GI Direct, comments: “Much of the enclosing we carry out is for transactional documents containing confidential information, so security is of the utmost importance. With a file based recognition system driven by a 2D barcode on-site, we can guarantee 100% mailings. The system provides customers with a full audit trail and traces the document from receipt of data through to loading onto the carrier to the RM depot”.
“We pride ourselves on the integrity of our service and this move has been made to ensure we offer the very best service for our clients.
“Repeated cases of data loss, publicised by the media, have led to a decrease in the level of public trust in organisations that handle personal data. So, with data security very much under public scrutiny, the need to guarantee a secure service is essential.”
