Copresco Wins Pinnacle Award

Press release from the issuing company

Copresco has received another Pinnacle Award for color printing from the Printing Industry of Illinois/Indiana Association (PII).

The Carol Stream digital printer won an Award of Excellence for a fine arts brochure in the digital printing category competition.

"The Pinnacle Awards reflect the high standards of the printing industry," according to Polly Jensen, PII president and CEO.

Since the awards program began five years ago, Copresco has won 14 awards for printing excellence, including five in the best of category designation.

The brochure contains reproductions of acrylic on canvas paintings by well-known Winfield, Illinois artist Eleanor Himmelfarb. "Accurate reproduction of colors was crucial for the piece printed on cover stock," says Copresco president and CEO Steve Johnson. "Digital on-demand printing was the logical choice over conventional printing for the press run of 500 copies. Copresco's saddle binding of the oblong 9" x 6" piece would be a challenge for most printers."

Himmelfarb has exhibited her work nationally and internationally. Collections of her paintings are on display in prominent Chicago area businesses, financial institutions and universities and in Washington D.C.

Copresco specializes in digital on-demand printing of publications, books and manuals for clients in the general business, printing trade, technical and institutional fields.
