Presses, parts and printcom on manroland’s agenda at GOA

Press release from the issuing company

There will be something for everyone to talk about this weekend in the manroland booth (#604) at the Graphics of the Americas show.  The 3-day event opens Friday at the Miami Beach Convention Center, and at the center of conversation will be the new ROLAND 50 press and Euroman 32-page web press.  Representatives will also be on hand to discuss the printcom line of consumables as well as other products.

The ROLAND 50 is a dynamic small format press that has received much attention since being introduced at drupa last year.  The 20-inch press is loaded with features normally found in medium and large format presses, including double-size printing cylinders and transferters that allow for contact-free sheet travel with no marking.  With a maximum size of 14.26" x 20.7", it offers exceptional register stability and precision color control.  Capable of producing 13,000 sph, the ROLAND 50 is designed to shorten makeready time with automatic plate loading and other time-saving features.

The new Euroman 32-page, double-circumference heatset web press combines  efficiency, flexibility and productivity while maintaining high quality and cutting-edge technology.  With the ability to meet any demand for advertising inserts, brochures, directories, magazines and catalogs, among others, it combines efficient automation to deliver high output.  High quality, ClosedLoop control systems for color and cut-off register provide constant quality and ensure low waste, and the automatic webbing-up device is the fastest on the market.

Representatives of manroland's PRINTVALUE program will highlight the printcom line of consumables, rollers and supplies.  They will also discuss the availability of upgrades for the ROLAND 700 press series.

manroland's printcom system makes consistency possible in any print operation with quality components that insure high production performance.  Various lubricants, printing plates, prepress chemicals, rollers and blankets, sleeves, dampening solutions, silicones, coatings, inks and additives are in pressrooms throughout the world.  printcom offers a huge advantage with tested and certified products and components that are press compliant, and printers have reported savings due to reduced material consumption and lower energy use costs.

Original equipment, factory manroland parts and the MAG-In product line of on-line finishing blankets and dies will also be presented at the show.  manroland is the exclusive distributor in the U.S., Mexico, Puerto Rico and Canada for the in-line cutting systems, which are available for its presses and other brands as well.  It adds functionality to standard offset presses and is designed for fast changeover and adaptable for long or short runs.  The system allows a unit of a sheetfed offset press to emboss, perforate, crease and print in Braille.

manroland Inc., a division of manroland AG, is the world's second largest printing systems manufacturer and the world's market leader in web offset.  manroland employs almost 9,000 people and has annual sales of some Euro 2 billion with an export share of almost 84%.  Web and sheetfed offset presses provide solutions for publishing, commercial and packaging printing.  For more information visit the web site at www.manroland.us.com.
