Quark introduces enhanced XML support in the new version of QuarkXPress Server at AIIM/On Demand Conferences & Expos

BOSTON — April 17, 2007 — Quark Inc. announced today at the AIIM/On Demand Conferences & Expos that QuarkXPress Server 7.2 will be shipping in Q2 2007 and now includes enhanced support for XML. QuarkXPress Server technology powers Web-based and data-driven applications that enable system integrators and software developers to deliver custom, dynamic content to end users. Quark is exhibiting in booth 801. “Since 2002, the technology of QuarkXPress Server, coupled with applications from third-party developers and system integrators, has provided a way for customers to combine valuable personalized content with high–impact design to reach targeted customer segments,” said Linda Chase, senior vice president of Quark’s Enterprise Products. “The new XML capability introduced in QuarkXPress Server 7.2 embraces open standards to further extend the power of this technology, enabling customers to automatically construct design-rich QuarkXPress documents from industry-standard XML.” QuarkXPress Server 7.2 with XML capabilities delivers additional benefits, including: - True on-demand dynamic publishing: Customers are now able to move beyond rigid template-driven design to deliver richly designed content when and where customers want - Improved multi-channel output support: Customers can feed design-rich content created in QuarkXPress 7 via QuarkXPress Server to an e-mail server, Web server or other content delivery environments - Easier integration with business systems, such as Web content, enterprise, digital asset management systems, or other content and data sources “We are excited about what QuarkXPress Server 7.2 can help customers do,” continued Chase. “For example, it allows content management vendors to become part of a QuarkXPress workflow.
