UPM launches digital printing paper at On Demand Expo

Press release from the issuing company

UPM, Helsinki -- – UPM has launched a new paper for high-speed inkjet printing within its UPM DIGI paper range at the Hunkeler 'Innovationdays' in Lucerne.

UPM DIGI Jet has been especially developed for high-speed inkjet printing machines such as Kodak Versamark, IBM Infoprint 5000, Océ JetStream and Screen TruePress Jet 520. The surface of this woodfree uncoated paper meets the strong requirements of the machines during the printing process, with fast ink absorption, low bleeding and excellent water fastness.

UPM DIGI Jet is fully suitable for large-volume colour applications in transactional documents such as statements, invoices, transpromo documents or books. Its high whiteness also makes it ideal it for direct mail applications.

The 90 g/m2 paper is available in reels and sheets and carries the EU Eco-label as a proof of its strong environmental performance in manufacturing and sustainable raw material use. The producing mill also has PEFC and FSC Chain of Custodies, confirming the origin of wood.

The UPM DIGI range is the widest range of digital printing papers available on the market, including both coated and uncoated fine papers, as well as magazine and newsprint papers for digital printing processes.

UPM presented its complete range of digital printing papers at the Hunkeler Innovationdays in Switzerland, one of the leading shows for digital printing systems in the world.
